With more than one million patient visits every year, Parkland Health & Hospital System offers the first Level I trauma center in North Texas, the premier burn center in the region (second largest in the U.S.), ten clinical centers of excellence and one of the busiest maternity services in the world. It is a world-renowned teaching hospital and its provision of care for the largest percentage of the area's underserved citizens helps to keep all of the area's health care systems viable, thus affecting health care for us all.
