Parkland receives $75 million to build a new facility

Hundreds of Parkland supporters came to the Old Parkland Campus to celebrate a historical moment in Parkland's history as Parkland Foundation kicked off their capital campaign, I Stand for Parkland. Already, the Foundation has raised close to $80 million for a new hospital. Our goal is $150 million.
Two generous Dallas families made history by announcing pledges totaling $75 million to Parkland Health & Hospital System toward the building of a new facility, the largest-ever gifts to a public hospital capital campaign.

Annette and Harold Simmons and their family issued a challenge grant of $50 million and Jan and Trevor Rees-Jones pledged $25 million. Both are in support of the new “I Stand For Parkland” campaign to raise $150 million to replace Parkland’s aging main facility. Read more or watch a short film about this unprecedented project.

Caregivers at Parkland are true heroes. Each day they triumph over crowded surroundings and complex patient conditions to provide excellent care to those in need. Many of these patient care champions could choose to work anywhere in Dallas, but Parkland is the place they want to be.

Parkland's emergency medicine residents not only help countless patients; they help each other.
Emergency Medicine residents have set up the Emergency Medicine Alumni Fund through the Parkland Foundation to enhance educational opportunities for other residents practicing emergency care.
